Itinerary

Day 1: NEW DELHI – KALKA – SHIMLA (BY TRAIN/CAR)

You will start at the New Delhi Railway Station or another suitable location depending on your purchase of Meet and Greet, where you will our Enfield Point representative. An early morning express train will take you to Kalka, at the strides of the Himalayas, in around 4 hours.

Breakfast will be served in the train. From Kalka a 3 hours’ street venture in an AC Car will take you to Shimla. You can spend the time visiting the nearby mall, or Church.

Day 2: SHIMLA

Now you familiarize with your Royal Enfield Motorcycle, your ride for the following few days.

After receiving comprehensive instructions from your leader, you will give a test ride too. Whatever is left of the day is for recreation.

DAY 3: SHIMLA – SARAHAN (175 KM)

After breakfast it's time to kickoff your cruiser venture to Kinnaur.

You'll be leaving Shimla travelling up the Hindustan-Tibet Highway (NH-22) on the way to Rampur. The NH-22 is left at Jeori, from where an 18 Km street winds up the mountain to Sarahan, home to the Bhimakali temple.

DAY 4: SARAHAN – SANGLA (95KM)

Today you'll take the NH-22 again towards Kinnaur. Riding along the furious Sutlej waterway you'll reach your destination Karchham. Following this point, there will be two divisions, of which you’ll take the turn towards Baspa, and reach Sangla village.

DAY 5: SANGLA – CHITKUL – KALPA (100 KM)

Spending the morning in Sangla, you take a short ride to Chitkul, another interesting town in the Baspa Valley. Post sight-seeing the beauty of Chitkul, you'll come back to Sangla for lunch and head for your next destination, Kalpa

DAY 6: KALPA

You enjoy the beauty of Kinner Kailash or may take strolls around the village, and its apple orchards.

The team will make arrangements for the necessary permits, post which you'll be heading further up the NH-22 tomorrow and soon enter a locale without conveniences, such as communication networks.

DAY 7: KALPA – NAKO LAKE (120 KM)

As you travel advancing up the Hindustan-Tibet roadway, the mountain scenery begins to change from green to rough and desolate. Riding along the Sutlej you'll reach Spello where your permits will be checked.

Another 35 km ride will take you to Khab, a little town at the intersection of the Spiti and Sutlej waterways. Leaving Sutlej, starting here on you'll be riding along the Spiti stream to reach the Nako village.

Your stay and meals will all be arranged.

DAY 8: NAKO – TABA – KAZA (115 KM)

Today's ride will take you up to higher mountains through the Maling Nala and down to Chango where you'll enter Spiti Valley. Your key destination here is Tabo where you can visit the monastery.

Post lunch, you start and riding through the Spiti River to reach Kaza.

DAY 9: KAZA

Kaza is the head-quarters of the Spiti sub-division and you'll be staying here for two successive evenings. Further, you’ll visit the Key Gompa and Komic town, which are the most elevated towns in Asia.

DAY 10: KAZA – CHANDRA TAL (100 KM)

Continuing up the Spiti Valley & further into higher Himalayas, today you’ll arrive at the second High Altitude Lake on your tour (enjoying a packed lunch, en route). After crossing a high pass (Kunzum La, 4550 M) and a couple of streams (glacier melts) you’ll reach a pasture land 4 KM short of the beautiful & desolate lake of Chandra Taal (Vehicles are not allowed beyond this point & camping is no longer permitted near the lake shore). The support staff will help set up our own camp here and cook the evenings dinner while you can take the walk upto the lake. Accommodation will be 2 persons in one 4-man tent. Nature’s call will have to be answered in a small toilet tent with a folding camping toilet (homemade-type, with saw-dust!). Although an “awkward” experience, besides being eco-friendly its a lot better than having to find an inconspicuous spot in the open, flat & barren surroundings of the lake at 4200 M (that too after dark, in windy & cold conditions).

DAY 11: CHANDRA TAL – MANALI (125 KM)

Once you are done with your breakfast now it’s time to say to the Moon Lake and head down to the Lahaul Valley. Your ride from Chandra Taal to Gramphu will offer you with some mesmerizing scenic views.

The ride will be challenging for you too, with a number of water crossings being present. Leaving the Chandra, you’ll travel to Rohtang La, and way forward to Manali.

DAY 12: MANALI

Another day for relaxation, exploration or sight-seeing depending on your wishes.

DAY 13: MANALI – SHOJA (110 KM)

Traveling south from Manali, along the banks of the Beas, today's ride takes you through some wonderful views. Riding down the Kullu valley past Naggar, you'll turn south-east towards Banjar at Aut.

From here, a 38 km long way lined with apple plantations drives you to your destination, a little village called Shoja.

DAY 14: SHOJA – SHIMLA (155 KM)

You’ll come back to Shimla, and spend the last day of your tour relaxing or visiting the nearby places, doing some shopping or more as you prefer.

DAY 15: SHIMLA – NEW DELHI (BY CAR/TRAIN)

And, now it’s time to bid farewell to the Himalayas.

You'll be taking a 3 hour Car/MUV ride down the Shivalik extent to its strides at Kalka from where an Express Train will take you to New Delhi (in about an additional 4 hours).

Meals will be served in the train and is included in the overall package. At the New Delhi Railway Station an Enfield Point representative will guide you through to reach the desired locations, which will also depend on the purchase of Farewell by you.
