When you arrive in Manali on the second day of your Leh Ladakh bike tour, a member of our crew will pick you up at the bus stop and take you to your hotel. In the evening, you will meet with our Ride Captain or Tour Leader for a briefing, introduction to your motorcycles, examination of your riding gear, safety precautions, and other key components of the tour, followed by dinner. Today, you must obtain plenty of rest so that you can quickly acclimatise. Manali is 2050 metres above sea level.
After breakfast, we'll get in the saddle for one of the world's most adventurous motorcycle tours, where you'll be riding for the first time ever. It will be the Leh Ladakh bike journey. We will leave Manali town and travel along Solang Valley Road to Dundhi Village, which is the starting point of the "Atal Tunnel," the longest high-altitude road tunnel in the world that extends for approximately 9 kilometres on the Manali-Leh highway. From there, we will travel to Telling Village, which is located on the other side of the tunnel. Before reaching Sarchu today, we will traverse the Baralachala Pass, which is 4890 metres above sea level. Sarchu is at the height of 14000ft and oxygen level is always differing from low altitude areas
We will begin our journey toward Leh, the primary destination of the Ladakh motorcycle trip, after an early breakfast. The route from Sarchu to Leh is particularly difficult because, before arriving in Leh, we must pass over the Gata Loops, Nakeela Pass, Lachungla Pass, Moore Plains, and Tanglanga La pass. Therefore, travelling from Sarchu to Leh should take no more than 8 to 10 hours. So get ready for the Leh Ladakh bike tour's longest ride. We should be able to go to Leh by evening. Leh is 3500 metres above sea level.
We finally arrived in Leh after a two-day, exhausting bike ride from Manali. Since Leh is situated at a height of 3500 metres above sea level, it is crucial that you all get enough sleep so that you can adjust to the following days. There won't be any motorcycles available today since we need to prepare the bikes for our upcoming adventure tour.
Soon after breakfast, we will begin our bike to Pangong Tso Lake, but not before passing through several checkpoints and submitting our restricted area and inner line licences. We must pass across Changla Pass, the third-highest motorable road in the world at a height of 5360 metres above sea level, before arriving at Pangong Tso. We'll get to Spangmik village, which is by Pangong Tso Lake, by early evening. Today, our accommodations will be in tents. Pangong Lake is situated 4225 metres above sea level.
We will begin the seventh day of our Ladakh motorcycle tour by heading toward Nubra Valley after spending the previous night at the shores of Pangong Lake. The Nubra Valley is the coldest desert in the entire Himalayas and is located at a height of 3000 metres above sea level. Since we will be travelling through Shyok Valley today, the majority of the trip will be off-road. We will arrive at Hunder in the evening, and if we have time, we'll spend some time at the Hunder Sand Dunes.
After breakfast, we will depart from Hunder and travel to Diskit Monastery, which is the oldest monastery in the Nubra Valley and where a statue of Maitreya Buddha is located. After that, we'll start climbing toward Khardungla Top, the highest motorable road in the world at 18380 feet above sea level. Since the Khardungla pass is the main draw of the motorbike trip from Delhi to Leh, we will spend some time there before beginning the descent to Leh. By early evening, we will arrive in Leh, where you can spend the rest of the day exploring and shopping for trinkets.
Today's ride will be leisurely, and we'll start looking at the local attractions in and around Leh. After breakfast, we'll visit Magnetic Hill, Likir Gompa, and Alchi Monastery. By early evening, we'll be returning to Leh, where you can spend the rest of the evening exploring Shanti Stupa.
After exploring one of Mother Nature's most magnificent wonders, we will begin our return trek on the Delhi to Leh Ladakh Bike Trip. We will be travelling on the same Manali-Leh route that we used for our last leg of the trip as we head towards Sarchu. By early evening, when we get in Sarchu, we can explore and take some magnificent photos of the city and the mountains that surround it.
The final day of the bike trip from Delhi to Leh to Delhi will be spent riding. We will head towards Manali and travel across the 3980-meter-high Rohtang Pass. We'll get to Manali by evening. We reunite for a farewell dinner after dropping off the bikes.
Following breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and be driven to the bus terminal where your Volvo bus will take you to Delhi.
NOTE: Since you have plenty of time after checking out of the hotel, you can spend some time touring Manali town on your own before the majority of Volvo buses depart about 3 o'clock.
